Comfort Kumeah is a cocoa farmer in Ghana. She is a widow in her 50's and mother of 5 children. Before joining her local Fairtrade co-operative Comfort would often be cheated by the buyers and had a very unpredictable cash flow. After joining 'Kuapa' she has benefited from:

  • Trade without cheating
  • Ability to borrow from a Credit Union
  • Ability to participate in her local community through farmers AGM.
  • A consistant fair price smooths her cash flow
